A Festive Contribution | Ceramic Wreath Ornament

She was decorating the Christmas tree when she looked over at me. “You’ve made me all sorts of things, but never an ornament,” she said. I explained that seasonal work required careful planning. “It’s Christmas every year,” she said.

The following Christmas, I arrived with my contribution: a glossy ceramic ornament with a holly wreath, red berries, rolling waves and a crescent moon. “Printed on both sides. Practically two ornaments,” I said, turning it over. “One,” she said, and hung it at the front of the tree.
